Privacy Policy

This is a starter Privacy Policy. Before launching publicly, you should review and tailor this document with a qualified attorney familiar with the privacy laws of jurisdictions where your users reside (e.g. GDPR, CCPA).
What we collect
- Account info: Email address, name, and authentication identifiers (handled by our auth provider, Clerk).
- Content you submit: Source content you paste into Unfurl and the generated outputs we return to you.
- Billing info: Handled by our payments provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: How many repurposings you've made, when, and which platforms, so we can enforce plan limits and improve the product.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the Service
- To process payments and enforce plan limits
- To send transactional email (account confirmations, billing receipts, important service notices)
- To respond to your support requests
- To diagnose bugs and improve product quality (in aggregate, non-identifiable form wherever possible)
AI processing of your content
When you submit content, it is sent to our AI provider (Groq, which runs the Llama family of open-weight models) to generate the requested outputs. Per our agreement with the provider, your content is not used to train their models. Generated outputs are stored in your account history and are visible only to you.
Sub-processors
We rely on the following third parties to operate Unfurl:
- Vercel: application hosting
- Supabase: database storage
- Clerk: authentication
- Stripe: payment processing
- Groq: AI content generation (runs Llama-family models)
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone
- We don't use your content to train any AI model
- We don't share your generated outputs with other users or third parties
- We don't use third-party advertising trackers
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or request deletion at any time by emailing support@unfurl.app. Deleting your account permanently removes your repurposing history; some billing records may be retained as required by law.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, content is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records).
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect.
